Presented in very good condition is this rare example of a 2017 Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Limited Edition 5015C.1130.52B. This “Tribute to Fifty Fathoms Aqua Lung” model features a 45mm stainless steel case, a unidirectional stainless steel bezel with sapphire crystal insert, and a black dial with luminous hour markers and the iconic “Aqua Lung” logo. It is coupled to a stainless steel bracelet. Having been professionally tested for condition and accuracy, it’s deemed to be running perfectly and is showing very minor signs of wear.
The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms is widely regarded as the first modern diver’s watch, originally debuted in 1953 to meet the rigorous requirements of the French Navy’s combat swimmers. This limited edition “Aqua Lung” variant pays homage to the historical models of the late 1950s that were distributed through Aqua Lung, the diving equipment company founded by Jacques Cousteau. It blends this rich naval heritage with contemporary high-end watchmaking, utilizing a modern caliber with a substantial 120-hour power reserve and a highly scratch-resistant sapphire bezel insert.
The watch is supplied with its outer box, iconic “Peli-case” presentation box, manual, Diver’s Logbook, an additional black sailcloth strap, strap changing tool, and warranty card dated 2017.
