Presented in excellent condition is this exceptional example of a 2001 Rolex Daytona 116520. The watch features a 40mm stainless steel case, engraved stainless steel tachymeter bezel, white dial with luminous indices is coupled to a stainless steel Oyster bracelet. Having been professionally tested for condition and accuracy, it’s deemed to be running well and is showing barely any signs of wear.
The reference 116520 marks an incredibly important milestone in horological history, representing the first generation of the Cosmograph Daytona to feature Rolex’s first completely in-house, integrated chronograph movement. This early production example from 2001 is a true collector’s piece, remaining in New Old Stock (NOS) condition with original factory protective stickers intact, including the classic green hologram sticker clearly visible on the case back. At its heart sits the highly acclaimed automatic Calibre 4130, engineered with a vertical clutch and a parachrom hairspring to provide unrivalled precision alongside a substantial 72-hour power reserve.
